Milwaukie Group Fitness Class Descriptions

Acheivement Class
This adaptive class is designed for developmentally delayed young adults, ages 10 and older.  Class incorporates cycling, strength building, balance and stretching exercises.  This is a fee class.

Amp It Up
Take your cardio to the next level!  This class has it all.  Drills, weights, and traditional cardio moves resulting in a test of your endurance level.  Class may use a variety of specialty group exercise class equipment.

Amp It Up Express
This 30 minute class rotates Kick Bozing and traditional cardio class moves with short segments of sports conditioning drills and weights resulting in a test of your endurance level.  Class may utilize a variety of specialty group exercise class equipment.

Cardio Shake-Up
A cross-training class at it's finest!!  This cardio class is a rotation featuring a different cardio format each week.  The schedule is posted monthly outside of the studio. Class may utilize a variety of group exercise class equipment.

Cycle Express
For the new comer to cycling!  A 30 minute indoor ride set to fun motivating music.   It will be over before you know it!  New participants will be properly fit for their bike. Class size is limited. To reserve your spot, check-in at the Service Desk.

Cycle
Ready to take it up a notch? Burn up to 450 calories in 45 minutes! Yes! Everyone will win with this 45 minute indoor ride set to fun, motivating music. New participants will be properly fit for their bike. Class size is limited. To reserve your spot, check-in at the Service Desk.

Cycle ABC's
A 30-minute indoor cycle class designed to introduce a participant to the fundamentals of a traditional cycle class. Set to fun, motivating music.  New participants need to arrive early to be properly fit for their bike.  Class size is limited. to reserve your spot, check-in at the Service Desk

Double It Up
This Step class utilizes TWO or more pieces of exercise equipment in conjunction with the adjustable Reebok platforms for double the cardio push and double the FUN! 

◊ ForeverFit Strength
Enjoy this group fitness class with the use of a chair while listening to motivating music.  This class incorporates seated and standing movements which strengthen the muscular system.  Hand weights, tubes and small exercise balls add to the experience.  

◊ ForeverFit Yoga
With the support of a chair, enjoy yoga poses and positions while increasing your overall balance and muscle endurance.  Strengthen your body and relax your mind.  

GROUP POWER
Your HOUR OF POWER!  This 60 min barbell program strengthens all your major muscles in an inspiring, motiviating, group environment with fantastic music and awesome instructors.

H20- X
Proven results while protecting joints. Cardiovascular conditioning and muscle strengthening performed in the water. Aqua dumbbells and other floating devices are used to enhance the strength component of class while the water cushions the impact.

H2O Circuit
Push your limits with the safety of the water. Aquatic exercise in a circuit format.

$ Jr. Racquetball
An 8 week program which teaches children and teens ages 6-18 the rules and the essential skills needed to play racquetball. (January-April)

≈ Family Swim
The pool is closed for all other activities to allow families to play and swim.

Mat Pilates
Stand taller, look leaner! Achieve profound results as you learn  multi-muscle exercise technique, core strength and balance. Class size is limited. To reserve your spot, check-in at the Service Desk.

Mid-Management
A 30 minute non-cardio, functional training class that concentrates on strengthening and reshaping your upper leg, abdominal and back muscles.

Pilates Plus
Achieve core strength, balance, flexibility and body control through a combination of weight-bearing movements and Pilates exercises.  Class size is limited.  To reserve your spot, check in at the Service Desk.

SilverSneakers® MSROM - (Muscular Strength and Range of Movement)
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills.  Hand held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are used for resistance.  A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

Silver&Fit® Level 2 
A social and upbeat exercise class designed for moderately active older adults.  Class alternates cardio exercise with total body muscle strengthening exercises using bands and dumbbells.  Class is specifically designed to improve agility and core strength.

Step-N- Strength
The combination of strength training and cardio training in this class will test and take your endurance to the next level. This format utilizes an adjustabel Reebok platform, barbells, and dumbbells.

≈ Turbo H2O
Pump up your water workout!  This class combine sports conditioning, dance and traditional water cardio moves for one dynamic water workout.

Wallyball
A fast paced Volleyball game inside a racquetball court.  Teams consist of 2-4 players.  Free to Executive members age 12 & up.

Yoga
Yoga is proven to increase mental and physical well being. Beginning and advanced students alike are welcome to improve health by focusing on proper breath, alignment, and individual flexibility and strength. You will progress through a combination of flowing and sustained postures and will learn to hold the postures for an extended time. Class size is limited. The Yoga Buzz
This 45-minute class combines Yoga positions which flow into mat Pilates exercises.  The result is a core strengthening, muscular stretching, mental relaxing experience.   Class size is limited. To reserve your spot, check-in at the Service Desk.

ZUMBA
Hate to exercise but love to dance?  This cardio class combines simple salsa, hip-hop and jazz moves with upbeat music for 45 minutes of cardio fun!
